What is the PERSPECTIVES program about?
Giving impetus to women’s entrepreneurship in Quebec

The PERSPECTIVES program at Esplanade is an initiative aimed at catalyzing access to financing for women and non-binary entrepreneurs in Quebec. Structured in two dimensions, it provides intensive support to entrepreneurs seeking venture capital funding and educates investors on integrating a gender perspective. The two cohorts of 8 participants each benefit from thematic workshops, personalized sessions, and strategic meetings.

Who is the PERSPECTIVES program for?

The main targets for each dimension are:

For women entrepreneurs:

  • Founders, owners, or leaders of a for-profit or social economy business.
  • Aiming for significant impact in the fields of environment, health, or food systems.
  • With a territorial base in Quebec and expected local impacts.
  • Preparing to scale based on a validated business and impact model.
  • Seeking to raise significant funds in the next 36 months.

For investors and fund providers:

  • Fund managers, investment committee members, impact analysts, family offices, angels investor…
  • Foundations, philanthropic or community organizations…

For entrepreneurs:

Entrepreneurs targeted by the program must be women in Quebec. They must demonstrate significant commitment to the specific sectors of the program, have a territorial base in Quebec, a validated business model, and the ambition to raise substantial funds in the next 36 months. The program targets projects in the commercialization or advanced growth phase.

For investors and fund providers :

Sought-after investors are professionals engaged in impact investing, such as fund managers, investment committee members, impact analysts, family offices, funders, philanthropists, or angel investors. They must be willing to integrate the gender perspective into their investment strategy.
